“Kotha Bangaru Lokam” is a fun filled movie with a correct dose of family sentiment. The movie begins with the hero Balu (Varun sandesh) a fun loving boy and his caring parents in Prakash Raj and Jayasudha together strive hard to bring up their son to a respectable position in the society. On the other hand Swapna (Sweta Basu Prasad) is a fun loving girl who has a rich and at the same time strict father.
The story revolves around the lead pair who join Junior residential college and then eventually fall in love with each other. The director Srikanth Addala is excellent in establishing the mood in the junior college especially when he shows a student choosing his answers in a exam with the help of toss of a coin.
When all goes fine there is a dilemma amongst the lead pair whether the liking the two have is just attraction or love. The surprise element in the film is the Physics lecturer (Rao Ramesh) who is very supportive towards the students and believes in doing things differently.
Balu is very energetic throughout the film and Swapna fits the role of an innocent girl perfectly. The director had characterized her role in a very apt way. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha as responsible parents of the hero have given very mature performances.
The first half of the film is filled with maximum fun n frolic which brings the mood of the college to the screen and in the second half the journey of the lead pair from being an immature lot to more mature individuals is being told in a very effective way.
On the whole a good movie to enjoy.
Many a times in life we come across people who stand up against all odds & achieve things which inspire a generation ,these things they achieve come from extreme suffering ,hardship, insults & distress.
Will Smith's son Jaden Smith as Chris Gardner's son in the film was another feather in the cap ,he has justified his role with some superb performances. His dad can be damn proud of him.The body has ways of letting us know when something is not right. Pain is one such way of telling us that whatever it is we're doing, it is damaging to us. To have a pain and then to take a pain reliever so it will go away is like driving a car with the "low oil pressure" light on and putting black tape over it so that you won't notice the warning anymore. If you keep driving that way you can easily wreck your engine, when if you'd stop and look under the hood for a moment, you could prevent any further trouble. Millions of people every day drive their bodies without wanting to pay attention to the warning light of pain or discomfort. Aspirin, Darvon, Tylenol and others are doing nothing to relieve the source or the reason for the pain. They are just bottles of black tape to hide the body's warnings with. When such people as use them find themselves on their backs in a hospital, they wonder why. What happened? The body was not paid attention to, that's what. No one looked under the hood, so to speak, and the body was driven into the ground.

This astonishing 18ft drawing of the world’s most famous skyline was created by autistic artist Stephen Wiltshire after he spent just 20 minutes in a helicopter gazing at the panorama.
The unbelievably intricate picture was drawn at Brooklyn’s prestigious Pratt Institute from Stephen’s memory, with details of every building sketched in to scale.
Landmarks including the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building can be seen towering above smaller buildings after just three days in his spellbinding creation.
Listening intently to his ipod throughout the artistic process - because music helps him - London-born Stephen uses only graphic pens as he commits his photographic memory to the high-grade paper.
Invited by top U.S. television network CBS to display his talents to the American public in a new screen appearance this week, Stephen has dumbfounded art lovers around the globe with sketches of Tokyo, Rome and Hong Kong.
‘Stephen sketches his layout in pencil first and then scales it within the border, first adding in landmarks before filling out in more intricate detail,’ said Iliana Taliotis, who works with Stephen and his family.
‘He works methodically in short sharp bursts and is even being put on webcam by CBS as he puts his art to paper.’
On his third visit to New York, this is Stephen's first panorama of the world's most iconic cityscape.
‘Stephen feels this is his spiritual home,’ said Iliana.
‘There are many similarities between his home, London, and New York that he can relate to. ‘The only difference is that everything is on a bigger scale and with taller, more modern buildings.
‘Cities have always been his passion, and he is drawn to cosmopolitan lifestyles.’
Diagnosed with autistism at an early age, Stephen's talent for drawing emerged as a way of expressing himself.
Using his drawing's to help him learn and encouraged by his family, Stephen created a series of 26 coded pictures to help him speak, all of which corresponded to a letter in the alphabet.
Going through up to 12 pens during his sketches which can take a week to finish, Stephen also draws heavily on music which he carries everywhere.
He listens to everything through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, including blues, soul, funk, Motown, pop, Back Street Boys, All Saints and even New Kids on the Block
True to life: Stephen's sketch mirrors the actual skyline, pictured, capturing the Chrysler Building (right), the MetLife Building (centre) and the Rockefeller Center (left)
‘He always listens to music while he works,’ said Iliana.
‘This work will encompass the five boroughs of New York, New Jersey, Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty.
‘This one is extra special and unique.
‘Due to his personal love of New York it contains far more detail and the perspective of the panorama is much more in-depth, giving a more realistic, 3-D view of the city.’
World famous: Stephen's drawings of Tokyo, Rome and Hong Kong have dumbfounded art lovers around the globe
In May 2005, Stephen produced his longest ever panoramic memory drawing of Tokyo on a 52-foot canvas within seven days following a short helicopter ride over the city.
Since then he has drawn Rome, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dubai, Jerusalem and London on giant canvasses.
When Wiltshire took the helicopter ride over Rome, he drew it in such great detail that he drew the exact number of columns in the Pantheon.
In 2006, Stephen Wiltshire was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to art. He opened his permanent gallery in the Royal Opera Arcade, Pall Mall, the same year.
Come April and saving bank account holders will have a reason to cheer. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked banks to start calculating interest on savings account on a daily basis, starting April 1.
At present banks compute interest on the lowest available balance in the account, between the 10th and the last date of any month. And the rate of interest on a savings bank account is 3.5 per cent annually. If one withdraws a certain amount from his/her account on the last day of a month, the interest on that amount is lost for the entire month.
Also, a deposit made during this period would not be counted, as higher balance does not play any role in this calculation. This often leads to a position where the interest earned is extremely low, even if an individual maintains a high balance in his savings account.
Therefore, the new daily balance method will yield a better rate of return for individuals. Here's how : -
Impact Of Change: Once this norm comes into effect, the balance at the end of each day would be utilized for the calculating the final interest received by the account holder. This is called the daily balance method. The rate of interest, however, remains 3.5 per cent.
For instance, an individual who earns Rs 50,000, which is credited to his account on the first of every month. Assume the existing balance in the account at the start of the month was zero. From the salary received, he withdraws Rs 25,000 for various household expenses on the 5th of the month. So, the available balance on the 10th of the month will be Rs 25,000. Assuming there is no regular payment to the account but a withdrawal of Rs 10,000 is likely on the 20th of the month for some expense that may arise.
According to the present norm of calculating interest for savings account - The balance on the 10th of the month is Rs 25,000. There is a reduction in the account balance by Rs 10,000 by the 20th of the month. Hence, the balance used for calculating interest is Rs 15,000 and the interest for the month will be Rs 44.
By the new daily balance method, there will be a minute look at the changes that have taken place and hence there will be a different method for the calculation. Let's assume a month of 30 days, there will be interest paid on Rs 50,000 for five days (1st to 5th of the month), then on Rs 25,000 for 15 days (5th to the 20th of the month) and lastly, on Rs 15,000 for 10 days (20th to the 30th of the month). Therefore, the total interest earned on various available balances will amount to Rs 75, higher than what is earned as per the present norm.
NEW INTEREST RATE COMPUTATION
Date | Transaction | Amount | Balance | Old system | New System
Amount | Days | Interest | Amount | Days | Interest
1-Apr | Salary | 50,000 | 50,000 | - | - | - | 50,000 | 5 | 24 |
5-Apr | Withdrawal | 25,000 | 25,000 | - | - | - | 25,000 | 15 | 36 |
20-Apr | Expense payment | 10,000 | 15,000 | - | - | - | 15,000 | 10 | 15 |
30-Apr | Closing balance |
| 15,000 | 15,000 | 30 | 44 | - | - | - |

| Total | 44 | Total | 75 | ||
All figures in Rs | |||||||||
Now consider the same case, where instead of a withdrawal towards the end of the month, there is a deposit of Rs 15,000 on the 25th of the month due to interest received on a fixed deposit. If we go by the current norms, there will be no change in the interest that is the interest earned will be around Rs 44. The reason: The deposit does not impact the lowest balance figure between the 10th and the end of the month so the total interest received stands at Rs 43.75. The daily interest method will compute interest on Rs 50,000 for 5 days, Rs 25,000 for 15 days, Rs 15,000 for 5 days (20th to 25th of the month) and then Rs 30,000 for 5 days (25th to 30th of the month, as the deposit was made on the 25th). So, in this case, the total interest earned will be Rs 82 for the month, almost double of what is earned by the old method.
This entire working shows that a savings account holder stands to benefit directly from the new daily balance method because returns will be earned on the amount remaining in the savings bank account. But more importantly, the above examples show that there is a clear way in which the individual can conduct their financial activities without worrying too much about the consequences. The account holder need not worry about the date of fund deposition or withdrawal. They can concentrate on better use of their funds so that they are able to get higher returns.
All this reduces the complications in the bank dealings and at the same time provides a fair value for the individual. This will push up the overall return of the funds and they can go forward in their activities in a confident manner

This is quite difficult but can be done. Please do not blame me if you get no work done today…this is really addictive
