Calculate Simultaneous Equations in Excel without Solver

I found this when I was posed with simultaneous equations with 5 variables.

=mmult(minverse(a2:b5),e2:e5)

the above function should be used like this:

a2:b5 – This is the array where you arrange your variables (equations)

image

Then e2:e5 are the constants

Now select 5 cells in a column, and type the formula given above, replacing the array and constants respect to what you have entered in your sheet. Press CTRL+ENTER (not just enter), and the values of the five variables will be populated in the 5 cells.

  • Save your documents online in Google Docs and access them from any computer.
  • Access your files from any computer with or without Microsoft Office.
  • Manage, create and delete Google docs folders right from within Office applications.
  • Add collaborators as you save your file in Google Docs.

Try it…Its like using a network folder and saving your word, excel and PowerPoint files right inside Google Docs.. and they open quite seamlessly.

Sarvam Movie Review - Nothing great to offer

Ayangran International's "Sarvam" has lot of heavy weights in its ranks starting from the hero Aarya who after his critically acclaimed "Naan Kadavul" is on a high, the gorgeous Trisha who after a long time looks very fresh and energetic, the brilliant cinematographer Nirav Shah and not to forget the music director Yuvan Shankar Raja who has been giving a spate of hits. But, the sad part is that none of these heavy weights could save "Sarvam" which has a very naive story coupled with a weak screenplay.

Karthik (Arya) an architect falls for pediatric doctor Sandhya (Trisha) and follows her wherever she goes to win her heart over. Sandhya though hesitant in the beginning gets bowled over by the genuineness of Karthik and falls for him.

In a simultaneous track Eashwar (J D Chakravarthy) is on the hunt for Naushad (Indrajith) who accidentally becomes a cause for his wife and son's death. Eashwar decides to take revenge on Naushad by challenging him that he will kill his son Iman (Rohan).

When the two stories run parallely a twist in the tale happens and Karthik gets emotionally attached with Iman and takes the responsibility of saving him from the deadly Eashwar.

Arya after his heavy performance in Bala's "Naan Kadavul" plays the romantic boy role and to be honest there is not much of scope for him to perform. The show stealer is undoubtedly Trisha who has done an excellent job in all the scenes. J D Chakravarthy with a stiff face has given a subtle performance and the same can be said of Indrajit. Master Rohan as Iman is very natural in his acting.

Nirav Shah has captured every single frame to perfection and the close-up shots of Trisha are photo perfect. Yuvan Shankar Raja has put up a good show but at the same time it cannot be rated as his best. The show spoiler is the story and the screenplay which leaves the viewers totally disappointed.

"Sarvam" a movie for those who have lots of time to waste.

Donate leftover medicines and save lives

Have you ever realized that the leftover medicines in your house can actually give a new lease of life to those who die for want of medicines or because they can't afford to purchase medicines.

Patients do not take the medicines prescribed for them for a variety of different reasons. Sometimes people are discharged from hospital with a bag of medicines to take home just in case they suffer certain symptoms - for example they may be given some extra strong painkillers in case they suffer severe pain after an operation.

Sometimes a medicine doesn’t suit the patient and they go back to their doctor to get something different. Sometimes the patient gets better and doesn't need the medicine after all, and sometimes sadly the patient dies.

These unused medicines are literally life-savers to people in desperately poor parts of India who would otherwise be unable to afford them , or even in some cases may be treated at a health care centre that simply cannot obtain them.

www.Givemedicines.org is a web based platform which aims to bring individuals and organizations who wish to donate unused medicines and Organizations / NGO's who need medicines together.

So open your cupboards, medicine chest , organize a unused medicine collection drive in your locality or office and donate them to the organizations who need them.
