Schumacher joins Mercedes; Mercedes buys over Brawn

In November 2009, Mercedes sealed the deal to buy out around 75% of Brawn GP, which ran as a un-sponsored Formula one team last year. Brawn will hold the rest of the share in this newly formed Mercedes Grand Prix Team. Mercedes retained Brawn as their team principle.

Brawn now part of Mercedes, had pulled in the seven time world champion Michael Schumacher.

Industry reports states that this was an much thought about move, as Jenson Button moved recently from Brawn GP to McLaren.
