The Rs.100 crore magnum opus "Marmayogi" which was to be jointly produced by Kamal Hassan and Pyramid Saimirra has been shelved. The reason that has been quoted is that the Rajinikanth's Kuselan whose distribution rights were bought by Saimirra for Rs.65 crores has been a huge washout at the box office and this has hampered the film house's future plans that had "Marmayogi" on top of the list.
Kamal Hassan in the mean time has decided to make a comedy named 'Thalaivan Irukkiraan'. The grapevine is that the leading ladies of Marmayogi "Trisha" and "Shreya" might also be a part of 'Thalaivan Irukkiran'.The new movie will have music by A.R.Rahman.
